Turril (1938) used the term omega ( $ \omega $ ) taxonomy for biosystematics. Biosystematics or new systematics brings out taxonomic affinity on the basis of evolutionary, genetic and morphological traits. Turril also used the term alpha ( $ \alpha $ ) taxonomy or collection and identification of organisms on the basis of gross morphology, compilation of fiora and monographs.
