Fossils of Archaeopteryx are obtained from upper Jurassic limestone rocks of Solenhofen in Bavaria, Germany. It is connecting link between reptiles and birds. The solid bones presence of feathers over body and presence of $V$-shaped furcula are characteristic of it.
