NTA AbhyasNTA Abhyas 2020

Solution:

Colostrum has a large amount of antibodies called secretory immunoglobulin, which consists of IgA. These help to protect the mucous membranes in the throat, lungs, and intestines of the infant. IgA antibody is the primary antibody present in the colostrum. It covers the infant from inhaled and ingested foreign pathogens. It is the second most abundant class of immunoglobulins, constituting about 10 % of total serum immunoglobulins. The amount of IgA produced during pregnancy in association with mucosal membranes is more significant than all other antibody combined types. It is also found in mucous secretions, including tears, saliva, sweat, etc.
