Q. Angular momentum $ L $ is given by $ L = p \cdot r $ . The variation of $ \log\,L $ and $ \log \,p $ is shown by

AMUAMU 2013

Solution:

As, $L = p \cdot r$
So, $log \,L = log \,p + log \,r$
Comparing with, $y = mx + C$
$y = log \,L$
$x = log \,p , m = 1 , c = log \,r$
If graph is drawn between $log_e \,L$ and $log_e \,p$, then it will be straight line which will not pass through the origin.
