Q. An object of height $h=5cm$ is located at a distance $a=12cm$ from a concave mirror with focal length $10cm.$ Then height of image:-

Solution:

$\frac{1}{v}+\frac{1}{u}=\frac{1}{f}$
$v=\frac{u f}{u - f}=\frac{\left(- 12\right) \left(- 10\right)}{- 12 - \left(- 10\right)}=-60cm$
$\frac{h_{i}}{5}=-\frac{v}{u}\Rightarrow \frac{h_{i}}{5}=-\left(\frac{- 60}{- 12}\right)\Rightarrow h_{i}=-25cm$
