Q. An increase in equivalent conductance of a strong electrolyte with dilution is mainly due to

JamiaJamia 2013

Solution:

A strong electrolyte is completely jonised at all concentrations. Hence, number of ions remains same. However, on dilution, interionic forces decrease and hence ionic mobility increases. Therefore, equivalent conductance increases.
