Q. An ideal gas equation can be written as $P=\frac{\rho RT}{M_{0}}$ where $\rho$ and $M_{0}$ are respectively,

NEETNEET 2020Thermodynamics

Solution:

$PV = nRT$
$\Rightarrow P=\frac{1}{V}. \frac{m}{M_{0}}.RT$
$=\left(\frac{m}{V}\right)\left(\frac{RT}{M_{0}}\right)$
$\Rightarrow P=\frac{\rho RT}{M_{0}}$
$\rho=\frac{m}{v}=$ mass density
$M_{0}$ = molar mass
