Q. An excess of $AgNO_{3}$ solution is added to $100mL$ of a $0.2M$ solution of dichloridotetraaquachromium $\left(\right.III\left.\right)$ chloride. The number of millimoles of $AgCl$ precipitated would be _______.

Solution:

$100mL$ of $0.2M$ solution means $0.02$ mole of complex $\left(\because \frac{100}{1000} \times 0 . 2 = 0 . 02\right)$
$\left[ Cr \left( H _{2} O \right)_{4} Cl _{2}\right] Cl$ has one ionizable $Cl ^{-}$
$\therefore 0.02$ moles of the complex precipitates the same amount of $AgCl$ .
$\therefore $ Millimoles of $AgCl$ precipitated $=20$
