Q. An electron moves along the line $A B$, which lies in the same plane as a circular loop of conducting wires as shown in the diagram. What will be the direction of current induced, if any, in the loop?Physics Question Image

Electromagnetic Induction

Solution:

As the electron is moving from left to right, the flux linked with the loop (which is into the page) will first increase and then decrease as the electron passes by. So the induced current in the loop will be first anticlockwise and will change direction as the electron passes by.
