Compound $A\left( C _{7} H _{9} N \right)$ is benzyl amine $\left( C _{6} H _{5} CH _{2} NH _{2}\right) .$ It reacts with $NaNO _{2} / HCl$ at $0^{\circ} C$ to form benzyl alcohol and $N _{2}$ gas.
