Q. An alkene $A$ on ozonolysis yields acetone and an aldehyde. The aldehyde is easily oxidised to an acid $B$. When $B$ is treated with bromine in presence of phosphorus yields a compound $C$ which on hydrolysis gives a hydroxyl acid $D$.
