Q. An $A.C$ generator of $220 V$ having internal resistance $r =10 \Omega$ and external resistance $R =100 \Omega .$ What is the power developed in the external circuit?

Solution:

$V =200 V ; r =10 \Omega$
$R=10+100=110 \Omega$
$I=\frac{V}{R}=\frac{220}{110}=2 A$
$P = I ^{2} R =4 \times 100=400 W$
