Valvate aestivation is present in the members of Brassicaceae, Solanaceae and liliaceae family. Thus Calotropis, Tulip, Asparagus, Colchicine, Petunia, Mustard and Tobacco have valvate aestivation in corolla, but in liliaceae tepals have valvate aestivation.
