Q. Algin, carrageen and proteins are obtained from

Plant Kingdom

Solution:

Certain marine brown and red algae produce large amounts of hydrocolloids (water holding substances), e.g., algin (brown algae) and carrageen (red algae) which are used commercially. Chlorella and Spirullina are unicellular green algae, which are rich in proteins and used as food supplements.
