Solution:

Acetaldehyde cannot show Lucas test because Lucas test is given by alcohols only. It is used in the distinction between primary, secondary and tertiary alcohols. During this test Conc. $HCl$ And anhydrous $ZnCl_{2}$ is used as a reagent which is known as Lucas reagent.
