According to genie balance theory given by CB Bridges, the sex is determined by the ratio between the number of $ X- $ chromosomes and number of complete set of autosomes. The $ X- $ chromosome carry female tendency and autosomes carry male tendency and $ Y- $ chromosome do not contain any sex determining factor. Thus, ratio of $ X- $ chromosome to autosomes determine the sex.
