Q.
According to Freundlich adsorption isotherm at high pressure, the value of $ \frac{x}{m} $ is
Uttarkhand PMTUttarkhand PMT 2011
Solution:
At high pressure, the extent of adsorption $\left(\frac{x}{m}\right)$ becomes constant as the adsorbent surface is saturated with the adsorbate.
Hence, $\frac{x}{m}$ becomes independent of pressure.
Mathematically, $\frac{x}{m}=k p^{\circ}$.
