Now as in free body diagram of block,
Solution
$macos \alpha = m g sin ⁡ \alpha \, $
$\therefore \, a=g\frac{sin \alpha }{cos ⁡ \alpha }=gtan ⁡ \alpha $ or $P=\left(M + m\right)gtan \alpha $
