Solution:

$ I{{}_{g}}=\frac{2}{300}A $ $ =\frac{2}{300}\times 1000\,mA $ $ =\frac{20}{3}\,mA $ $ {{I}_{g}}=6.67\,mA $ As range of ammeter cannot be decreased but can be increased only, therefore, the instrument cannot be converted to measure the range 1 mA.
