Q. A voltmeter has a range 0-V with a series resistance R. With a series resistance 2 R, the range is 0-V'. The correct relation between V and V' is

KCETKCET 1998

Solution:

Using V = $I_g$ (G + R) we get V' = $I_g$ (G + 2R) and 2V = $I_g$ (2G + 2R) $\therefore $ V' < 2V
