Solution:

By the conservation of linear momentum
$v=\frac{m_{1} u_{1} + m_{2} u_{2}}{m_{1} + m_{2}}$
$v=\frac{10 \times 3 + 20 \times 0}{10 + 20}=1ms^{- 1}$
