Q. A strong magnetic field is applied on a stationary electron. Then the electron

Moving Charges and Magnetism

Solution:

As $\vec{F}=\vec{q}(\vec{v} \times \vec{B})$
As the electron is stationary, $\therefore $ velocity $\vec{v}=0$.
$\therefore \vec{F}=0 .$ So, electron will remain stationary.
