Solution:

$\frac{d M}{d t}=\alpha v$
$F_{thrust}=-v\frac{d M}{d t}=Ma$
$\Rightarrow -v\left(\alpha v\right)=Ma$
$\Rightarrow a=-\frac{\alpha v^{2}}{M}$
