Q. A solenoid of length $0.6 \,m$ has a radius of $1 \,cm$ and is made up of $600$ turns. It carries a current of $6 \,A$. What is the magnitude of the magnetic field inside the solenoid?

J & K CETJ & K CET 2014Moving Charges and Magnetism

Solution:

Given, $I=0.6 \,m\,\, r=1 \,cm$
$N=600\,\, i=6 A$
$\Rightarrow B_{\text {inside }}=\mu_{0} n i$
$=4 \pi \times 10^{-7} \times \frac{600}{0.6} \times 6$
$=4 \pi \times 10^{-7} \times 36 \times 10^{3}$
$=7.54 \times 10^{-3} T$
