Q. A solenoid $\left(\mu_{ r }=2000\right)$ of volume $100 \,\pi\, cm ^{3}$ has a uniform magnetic field $4 T$ inside it. The magnetic energy stored inside solenoid is:-

Solution:

$ U = u _{ B } \times V =\frac{ B ^{2}}{2 \mu_{0} \mu_{ r }} \times V $
$=\frac{4 \times 4}{2 \times 4 \pi \times 10^{-7} \times 2000} \times 100 \pi \times 10^{-6}=1 \,J $
