Q. A small hole is made at a height of $\frac{1}{\sqrt{3}} m$ from the bottom of the cylindrical water tank and at a depth of $h =1.71 m$ from the upper level of water in the tank. What is the distance, where the water emerging from the hole strike the ground?

Mechanical Properties of Fluids

Solution:

$R =2 \sqrt{ HH '}$
$=2 \times \sqrt{\frac{1}{\sqrt{3}} \times \sqrt{3}}=2 m$
