Q. A rigid container of negligible heat capacity contains one mole of an ideal gas. The temperature of the gas increases by $1^{\circ}C$ if $3.0\, cal$ of heat is added to it. The gas may be :

Thermodynamics

Solution:

We use $Q=n C_{v} \Delta T$ which gives $C_{v}=3$ cal hence the gas is monoatomics so options (A) and (B) can be correct.
