Solution:

For equilibrium of torque about A,
$\left(m \text{g}\right)\frac{l}{3}=T\left(l\right)\text{or}T=\frac{m \text{g}}{3}$
For verticle equilibrium of plate,
$R_{\text{A}}+T=m\text{g}\therefore \text{R}_{\text{A}}=\frac{2 m \text{g}}{3}$
