Q.
A ray of light is incident at an angle of 60° on one face of a prism of angle 30°. The emergent ray of light makes an angle of 30° with incident ray. The angle made by emergent ray with second face of prism be

Solution:
Here, $i = 60°, A = 30°, \delta = 30°, e = ?$
As $i + e = A + \delta$
$\therefore \:\: e = A + \delta - i = 30° + 30° - 60° = 0°$
Angle of emergent ray with second face of prism
$= 90° - 0° = 90°$
