Q. A particle undergoes uniform circular motion. About which point on the plane of the circle, will the angular momentum of the particle remain conserved ?

IIT JEEIIT JEE 2003System of Particles and Rotational Motion

Solution:

In uniform circular motion the only force acting on the particle is centripetal ( towards centre). Torque o f this force about the centre is zero. Hence, angular momentum about centre remain conserved.
