$Mg - T = Ma$ ...(2)
from $(1)$ and $(2)$
$a =\left(\frac{ M - m }{ M + m }\right) g$
Put $M >> m$
$\Rightarrow a = g$
$\therefore T =2\, mg,$
$2 T =4\, mg$
