Q. A particle is moving in a circle with uniform speed. Its motion is

NTA AbhyasNTA Abhyas 2022

Solution:

Simple harmonic motion is a special type of periodic motion where the restoring force on the moving object is directly proportional to, and opposite of, the object's displacement vector. It results in an oscillation which, if uninhibited by friction or any other dissipation of energy, continues indefinitely.
Hence we can say if a particle is moving in a circle with uniform speed then motion is periodic but not simple harmonic.
