Q. A particle is dropped from a tower in a uniform gravitational field at $t = 0$. The particle is blown over by horizontal wind with constant velocity. Slope of trajectory of particle $(tan \theta)$ with horizontal varies according to

Motion in a Plane

Solution:

Let v be the horizontal speed provided by wind then at any instant $t$
$\tan \theta=\frac{g t}{v}$ also $X=v t$
so, $\tan \theta=\frac{g X}{v^{2}}$
