If $V_{B}-V_{C}=12$ then potential drop across $2 \Omega$ resistor between $B$ and $C$ is $2 V$ so, current frow from $B$ to $C$
$=\frac{2}{2}=1 A$
By junction rule $I_{1}=3+1=3 A$.
