Solution:

Bromine is soluble in $CCI_4 \, and \, CS_2$ Animal
charcoal also adsorbs on bromine water. But marble
has no action with $Br_2$. So, after adding marble piece
to the flask, there will be no decrement in the
intensity of brown colour.
