Solution:

$2 CO + O _{2} \longrightarrow 2 CO _{2}$

$\Delta H=\Delta E+\Delta n R T$

$\Delta \,n=$ No. of moles of gaseous product - No. of moles of gaseous reactant

$\therefore \, \Delta n=2-3=-1 $

$\Delta\, H=\Delta \,E-R T $

$\therefore \, \Delta H<\, \Delta \,E$
