$2CO\left(\right.g\left.\right)+O_{2}\left(\right.g\left.\right) \rightarrow 2CO_{2}\left(\right.g\left.\right)$

$\Delta n_{g}=2-\left(\right.2+1\left.\right)=-1$

$\Delta H=\Delta E+\Delta n_{g}RT$

or $\Delta H=\Delta E-1.RT$

i.e., $\Delta H < \Delta E$
