Q. A man of weight $ 75\,kg $ is standing in an elevator which is moving with an acceleration of $5\,m/s^{2}$ in upward direction the apparent weight of the man will be: $ (g=10\,m/s^{2})$

Solution:

Here : Mass of the man $m=75\, kg$
Acceleration of elevator $a=5\, m / s$
The apparent weight of the man is
$W =m(g +a)=75 \times(10+5)$
$=1125\, N$
