Q. A man of weight $50 \,kg$ carries an object to a height of $20\, m$ in a time of $10\, s$. The power used by the man in this process is $2000 \,W$, then find the weight of the object carried by the man ( take, $g=10 \,ms ^{-2}$ )

Solution:

The power used by man,
$P =(M+m) g h / t $
where, $ M =$ mass of man
$ m =$ mass of object
$ t =$ time
and $h =$ height
$ \Rightarrow 2000 =\frac{(50+m) \times 10 \times 20}{10} \Rightarrow 100=50+x$
$\Rightarrow X =100-50 \Rightarrow x=50 \,kg $
