Q. A male human is heterozygous for autosomal genes $A$ and $B$ and is also hemizygous for hemophilic gene $h$. What proportion of his sperms will be $abh$?

AIPMTAIPMT 2004Principles of Inheritance and Variation

Solution:

The male human is heterozygous for autosomal gene A and B and also hemizygous for hemophilic gene h then his genotype will be AaBbXhY because hemophilia is a sex linked trait that is present on X- chromosome. So the total number of gametes will be abXh abY, ABXh ABY, AbXh, AbY, aBXb,aBY. So the proportion of abXh sperm will be 1/8.
