Q.
A lightly damped oscillator with a frequency ($\omega$) is set in motion by harmonic driving force of frequency $(n)$. When $n < \omega$, then response of the oscillator is controlled by
Given: Frequency of damped oscillator $=\omega ;$ Frequency of harmonic driving force $=n$ and $n< \omega .$
We know that if $n<\omega$, then vibrations are nearly in phase with the impressed force or the response of the oscillator is controlled by spring constant.
