Q. A large flask contains air at $27^\circ C$ . In order to expel half the mass of air from the flask, the flask should be heated upto what temperature:-

Solution:

Pressure and volume are constant
$\mu T=$ constant
$\mu _{1}T_{1}=\mu _{2}T_{2}$
$\Rightarrow \mu \left(\right.300\left.\right)=\left(\frac{\mu }{2}\right)T_{2}$
$T_{2}=600K=327^\circ C$
