The gene which have multiple phenotypic effects is known as pleiotropic gene.
It is - essential that all the traits are equally influenced.
Complementary genes are those non-allelic genes which in dependentely show similar effect but produce a new trait when present together in dominant form.
Lethal genes are those genes whose phenotypic effect is sufficiently drastic to a kill the bearer. These may be dominant recessive.
The genes present on $Y$-chromosome are called holandric genes.
