Q. A gaseous mixture contains $O_2$ and $N_2$ in the ratio of 1 : 2 by mass. The ratio of their number of molecules is:

The p-Block Elements - Part2

Solution:

Moles of $O _{2}$ and moles of $N _{2}$

Ratio of molecules $=$ Ratio of moles

Hence $O _{2}: N _{2}=\frac{1}{32}: \frac{2}{28}=7: 16$
