AP EAMCETAP EAMCET 2016

Solution:

Given,
For diatomic gas $(\gamma)=1.4$
Work done $(d W)=300 \,J$
For isobarically expansion,
$\Rightarrow \frac{d W}{d Q}=1-\frac{1}{\gamma}$
$\Rightarrow \frac{300}{d Q}=1-\frac{1}{1.4}$
$\Rightarrow \frac{300}{d Q}=\frac{1.4-1}{1.4}$
$\Rightarrow \frac{300}{d Q}=\frac{0.4}{1.4}$
$\Rightarrow d Q=\frac{300 \times 1.4}{0.4}$
$\Rightarrow d Q=1050\, J$
