Q. A cylinder of mass $10 \, kg$ and radius $15 \, cm$ is rolling perfectly on a plane of inclination $30^\circ $ and length $1 \, m$ . If the coefficient of static friction is $\mu =0.25$ , then the work done against friction during rolling is

Solution:

The work done by friction force in case of pure rolling is always zero because the point of application of friction force doesn't slip
