Q. A container contains $32\, g$ of $O _{2}$ at a temperature $T$. The pressure of the gas is $P$. An identical container containing $4 \,g$ of $H _{2}$ at a temperature $2 T$ has a pressure of

Kinetic Theory

Solution:

Given, $1$ mole of $O _{2}$ at temperature $T$, pressure $P$
and $2$ moles of $H _{2}$ at a temperature $2 T$,
$P_{1}=\frac{n \times R T}{V}$
$P_{0}=\frac{R T}{V}=P $
$P_{H}=\frac{4 R T}{V}=4 P$
