Q. A chromosome in which the centromere is situated close to its end so that one arm is very short and the other very long is:

Solution:

Depending on the position of centromere, chromosomes are of four types- metacentric, submetacentric, acrocentric and telocentric. A chromosome in which centromere is present close to its end is called as acrocentric. These chromosome shows maximum arm ratio. Chromosome with centromere at the end is called as telocentric.
