Q. A charged particle moves in an electric field from $A$ to $B$ then from $B$ to $A$ :

Delhi UMET/DPMTDelhi UMET/DPMT 2005

Solution:

In. an electric field the work done in moving a charge from one point to another is independent of the path adopted between the two points.
Such a field is called a conservative field.
Hence, if a charged particle moves in an electric field from A to B, then from B to A, $W_{A B}+W_{B A}=0$, then the field is conservative.
