Q. A capacitor is used to store 24 Wh of energy at 1200 V. What should be the capacitance of the capacitor?

KEAMKEAM 2001

Solution:

$ U=\frac{1}{2}C{{V}^{2}} $
$ \Rightarrow $ $ 24\times 3600=\frac{1}{2}\times C\times {{(1200)}^{2}} $
$ \Rightarrow $ $ C=120\,mF $
